This is NOT a morbid story. Sure the tittle totally sounds morbid, but the title is subject to many many changes, and the whole book shouldn't be summed up by it's title. Sorry but the main character isn't going to die (or not yet that is) This is just a story about how someone who tries so hard for something to be a certain way, but it just turns out to be the opposite (adversity? Challenges?) I don't think I should say toooooo much more before I spoil it all... Oh yeah it also has Star Trek wrapped in it- but I think that even non-Trekkers will enjoy this one :)

As she helps Maverick train the aviators for an impossible mission, her past haunts her more than ever. Suspicions arise, but she refuses to explain her strange change in character. If she tells them, there's a good chance she will get thrown out of the navy altogether. But this goes beyond the navy... Facing the fact instead of abused skeletons they're asylum escapists. With only Blue, Dream and Lust not threatening them every second of every day they're forced to get to the border. However interaction for the first time in years is going to be awkward and might result in people realising they want t be more than friends...
