There comes a time in everyone's lives that you find out you just really hate living. For the Crown Princess of Goldwater, that time is now.
In honor of Rhea's 19th birthday (her Coronation), Goldwater is holding a grand ball, set to take place right after the Royal Trials. Rhea wants to ascend the throne, but to do so, she needs a husband, and she won't stand for that.
When Rhea is sucked into the threat of an arranged marriage to an arrogant Prince (Of the Shadow Realm, no less!), she knows that she has to find a way out. Being married in her world is like being bound in chains until your dying days. Rhea won't accept being thrown into the arms of someone she hardly knows, and definitely doesn't trust - even if that person is inhumanly handsome and mysterious.
So she formulates a plan.
It is custom that eligible bachelors from around the world visit the kingdom in hopes that they could compete to win the princess's hand. They have to participate in the royal trials, a series of tasks that would determine much more than who they married. Those who did horribly were mocked and ridiculed for years after. This was known by everyone, and it made one thing perfectly clear: don't mess up, and don't lose.
Rhea intends to compete for her own hand as a man. But, a certain cunning Prince is determined to leave the trials with a bride. She needs to finish the trials and win, without anyone figuring out the truth. The Princess is certain that she is going to succeed. The Prince will do almost anything to make sure "he" doesn't.
Only one will come out on top.
Who will it be?
