A short novella about Lucifer, life and death.

"Maybe if you weren't so desiring of a crown. A title. We wouldn't be here. You were such a pretty angel. One of us, like me. Yet you didn't appreciate that did you? You went for the mortals, tricked them, tricked yourself. Now you have a title. 'Monster'."

Michael's words run through the air and Lucifer cowers, he has no power. Fighting meant war, war meant death. He couldn't die and leave her here, let her fight her own demon that he gave her. That was weak, cowardly. However, the archangels words strike at him, cutting open old wounds, making new ones.

Michael knows it too. He's winning. Again.

"I know you're a virgin but have you never been touched?" He asked, sliding his other hand down onto her leg. "What makes you say that?" Kat breathed, bracing her hands on the counter. "You react like someone who's never felt another's touch," Nex whispered, slipping his thumb under the band of her shorts. "So, have you not?" Kat opened her mouth to speak but stopped when his hand slid up from her leg, gliding up her stomach and stopping just below her breast. "Not even here?" He asked, following the curve of her breast with one finger, not touching, staying just below as he dragged it back and forth. "What about here?" He asked, sliding his hand down from her ribs to the bottom of her shorts then around to her butt, fingers nearly grazing it as he inched them up, under her pajamas. "I can say with certainty, never here," he said, lowering his other hand under the waistband of her shorts, touching the top of her underwear. "No, you've definitely never felt that before. I can hear your heart racing, I can feel your breathing, I can smell your body responding like it's never experienced these sensations before," he whispered, sliding a finger just underneath the band. "Should I answer its call?" #1 in demons on 6/15 -6/17/20! Again on 6/20 and 6/22-6/23! Sweet and innocent Katherine has a routine and is a little tightly wound. And he's getting pissed off she won't give him a name so he can kill and go home. The problem is, pissed off turns into something else and before he knows it, he wants to take away some of that innocence and loosen her up, or better yet, tie her up make her his. "Thank you, please just set them over there," I stated with a smile, pointing to an empty table next to my stuff. After she passed I looked over to the main entrance, there were multiple vases of roses. I went to the one that had a note pinned to one of the thorny flowers. It said 'Six hundred and sixty-six reasons that I want to see you again. - Lucius Stewart.' How did he even know I would be here? I was in complete shock. Six hundred and sixty-six flowers for six hundred and sixty-six reasons? He might as well have just tattooed 'Devil's Spawn' on his forehead. How could one man be so rich and so powerful, seemingly just as smart, but be so God damn cliche? It would've been more respectable for him to have put 'Hey! Can't wait to sixty-nine with you!' Might as well just introduce himself as his unholiness and tell everyone about all the souls he tortured during his childhood. I have six hundred and sixty-six reasons to want to make him fall in love with me so that I don't have to live in hell for all eternity. Un-fucking-believably stupid. Unless he's trying to mind game me and is trying to see if I'm just the stupid little model he thinks I am? • • • #84 ONC2020 #128 opennovellacontest2020 Made it to round 3! :)))

"I beg you to listen" Murmuring softly as I froze in his touch. Exhaling slowly. Doing my best not run out of his hold. "What are you saying?" "I'm the Angel of Death" Scoffing and pulling from his touch. "And you were assigned to me?" "Yes" "You're an angel sent to what? Kill me?" Shoving his chest away with all my strength as I rose to my feet, fighting the ache. This was too much, I couldn't breathe. He's supposedly an angel?! An Angel of Death at that?!
