As I walked towards the door, I noticed some sort of light was on the other side. Maybe it's a way out? I evaluated my options. Either go through the mysterious door in the middle of the sewers that could be a way out, or stay in the cold, dark sewers where monsters could be. I'm going with the door one.
I twisted the doorknob and pulled the door, but it was like there was someone behind it. I pulled again, and the door opened, and a wave of cool air streamed out. That's weird. I felt a hand push me in the room, and I fell in, the door slamming shut. Before I knew what was happening, the lights started to flicker.
This wasn't a way out.
This is my original work for the "Welcome To The Blumhouse Writing Contest." I did not copy from anyone, this was my idea, if this seems like another book or something, it's purely coincidental. Please do not copy this because this took me time to write.

"W-What do you want?" I stammered, my eyes not leaving his gaze on me. "I want to prove you wrong." he smirks dangerously and speaks with his husky, deep voice. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise. It's probably just my imagination, I thought. My paranoia was probably just getting the best of me since I was home alone. I heard the stairs creak again however and I heard... Footsteps. I put my book down slowly and got off my bed as quietly as I could. Yes, those were definitely footsteps. I opened my door slowly, trying to be as silent as possible. I dared to take my eyes off the thing, still keeping my light on it, and look up as far as I could without moving my head. I saw a tentacle, black and white striped, snaking out of the hole in the ceiling, and moving across towards the doors. A white face with black streaks like tears shone down on me, with black holes for eyes, with two little white lights like eyes in them, and a smiling mouth that had the sharpest teeth I'd ever seen. Suddenly, a pounding came from the doors and I flinched- the light fell from my hand and spilled flickering light on the doors. My heart was pounding and felt like it would explode out of my chest.
