We Align SPIN-OFF (Jayden's story)

(you don't not need to read We Align to read this book.)

-----------------

I'm not perfect.

My biggest mistake was losing her.

Or was it...

Losing woke me up.

Losing let me learn right from wrong.

Losing let me know she IS worth the fight.

Fighting showed me the light at the end of our unfortunate tunnel.

And in that light I get to look her in the eyes and tell her.

"We shine."

-------------

This is Jayden William Morgan's story!!!!!

Let's go through his childhood (before he met Madison.)

His life from his point of view with his friends.

What happened to him during his break from Madison. (University... going in deep about his family. Some new friends too.)

And of course his future with Madison.

"You've been teasing me all night, baby," he said, voice thick with amusement and want. "Grinding on your friend, giving me those fuck-me eyes from across the club. You really think I'd let that slide?" I rolled my hips against him slowly, feeling how hard he already was beneath me. "I wasn't teasing," I whispered against his ear, letting my lips graze him. "I was waiting for you to do something about it." His grip tightened instantly. "Oh, you want me to do something about it? then get on your knees," he rasped, his other hand tugging at my hair, tilting my head back so he could look me in the eyes. 🌼🌼🌼 She's the most popular girl in school. He's the star quarterback everyone loves. And both of them are just faking it. Justine Frostwood is the heiress to the famous Silken Empire fashion house. On the surface, she has it all. But after her ex-boyfriend cheated on her in the most public way, her heart is locked up tight. She's decided love is just a game she can't win. Jayden Knight is the Thunderhawks' MVP, but it doesn't mean a thing. Haunted by a past he can't escape, he was destroyed when his girlfriend vanished without a reason. Now, he just goes through the motions, trapped in his famous life. A random crash in a school hallway changes everything. For the first time, they see past the fame and the fortune. They see the same hurt hiding in each other's eyes. What starts as a quiet understanding sparks into something real, something that actually starts to heal their broken pieces. But just as they let their guards down, the past comes crashing back. The ex who shattered Jayden returns, wanting him back. And Justine's old boyfriend is plotting with his new fling to ruin her happiness. With their fragile new love on the line, they have to ask: can they fight for each other, or will the ghosts that brought them together tear them apart for good? INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES (18+). Sometimes, a person can feel lonely even while being surrounded by people. I, on the other hand, have never been surrounded by people, because if anything, I preferred feeling alone without anyone. Or more like being alone with my imaginary friend. I created Jayden in my mind back when I was nine years old. For most of my life, I transferred schools non-stop in hopes to have a better social life, at least that's what my parents wished for me to have. Unfortunately for them, I already gave up on that. I simply continued talking to Jayden, the only friend I ever had since childhood. And it just kept going as it was... until it didn't. ~~~ ~This story is dedicated to my younger self. "I think it's best we stay cordial while we're here. You know, avoid any awkwardness," I say, trying to sound casual. Jay leans against the doorframe, his eyes flickering with amusement as he watches me. "You want to be friends?" "No. I mean, not friends. Just civil," I answer, a little too quickly. "Okay. I can do civil," he says, his gaze never leaving mine like he is trying hard to read me. I look away, suddenly too exposed beneath his gaze. Damnit! This is going to be harder than I thought. - It was a moment. One that could have turned into something more.Until she walked away. Eight months later, Ira has to face him again. And this time, there's nowhere to run. Not for at least a week. After all, it's her best friend's wedding and he's invited too. So, she does what she's always done best-pretend. Pretend nothing happened. Pretend he didn't matter. Pretend her heart didn't skip a beat the second she saw him again. But Jay? He's not playing pretend. With that maddening smile and the kind of charm that should come with a warning, he's determined to remind her of everything she's tried to forget- even the years she's spent years mastering the art of detachment. He's the only one who's ever come close to reaching the version of her that she thought, she had buried long ago. And that's what makes him dangerous. Because she shouldn't return to who she was. She's ice. And he? He's the fire that never stopped burning. The real question is: Can she let his fire thaw the ice that's long been her shield?

Josie: I found a guy, he seemed nice enough, we fooled around! It's not my fault that he didn't tell me he had a girlfriend! How would I have known it was the bitchy blonde, Tatum Levine's boyfriend?! I thought we'd never have to talk again after she understandably kicked me out, but of course the world hates me, because we are partnered together for a group project. Tatum: It's not her fault, not really, but she unintentionally is the proof I needed to confirm nobody stays. Not really. They might still be in my life but they're already gone. Even the boyfriend, my last test to see if people really stayed, failed. And now I have Josie, the most annoying, talkative girl in my class, following me around like a leech. The worst part? I'm beginning to like being around her, and now, I have to keep reminding myself that she is not an exception. She'll leave, too.
