Rose Valerie Jackson is a nerdy bookworm who hates Maths and Dana Love. She's seventeen years old and has three friends; Saline Brandon and Georgia and Hunter Childs. She lives with her mum and brother, Cameron in Brookside, Australia. Rose is enrolled in Brookside High, and abhors being center of attention. And she meets the most gorgeous guy in school; Kane McKing.

Kane McKing is Brookside High's Bad Boy, has been since the first year of primary school. He always gets girls in his bed quite easily and hangs out with his friends. His best, best friend, is Cameron Jackson and doesn't even know he has a sister. A very hot, very innocent sister; Rose Jackson. He gets pulled in towards her the first time he meets her. And of all places, it's in Detention with Mrs Creed. Even though he saw her in History, he actually meets her in detention.

What will happen when Dana Love, the school's most popular girl, grabs Kane only to mess with Rose? Will Rose retaliate and show her slowly-growing feelings for Kane? ... Or not?
