The After Effects
After it all happened, the Plague created what feels like a whole new world. Survivors created new lives for themselves and carried on with their lives. Me? I didn't get the chance to create a new life. Thanks to my absolutely wonderful father figure, I was forced to become an entirely different person. Behind the Dark
The breaking of worlds is much louder than one might think. While in all natural senses it is nearly silent; no birds flying about and singing their songs, no noises from the heavy traffic mere feet away from where I stand, no airplanes cutting seams into the otherwise-perfect blue sky, my ears ring with the deafening roar only I seem to hear. Broken. I'd say that's a good way to describe me. Even as the world fell to pieces, I still desperately tried to collect mine, hoping that maybe I could put myself back together.
