Nathan has a genetic Disease that he got from his father, it affects the pigmentations of his hair and can be any color you can think of, Nathans father (Ford Murphy) has blond spots but Nathan has one bright red spot, it don't go away and grows like that color even if you cut it.( just had to add it so people don't think it's dye and can know why people like to call him "red")
