16 year old Ember Moondian is crowned king of the kingdom of Moondian... but he's dethroned on his first week. Him and his two new friends-- a street thief with conspiracy theories and a madman with a sense of adventure-- unravel the mystery of his sudden dethronement while learning about the secrets and lies his uncle, Viktor, has kept and discovering the conspiracies that lie beneath the glamor of being king. While Ember tries to run away from his past, his past may just be the key...
