This is based on two real incidents: 

-> Air Canada Flight 143 aka The Gimli Glider that crash-landed at Gimli Industrial Park Airport on July 23, 1983.

-> US Airways Flight 1549 that crash-landed into the Hudson river on January 15, 2009.

Hello! This is a story I wrote a few years ago when I was 11/12. It is not the best written at the start but I didn't want to edit it (it gets better as my writing improves). It involves a school trip where the plane crashes, killing the pilot and landing them on a tropical island. One summer, her mom moves to Paris and wants her to fly down to visit her. On the plane ride there, she meets a super cute guy in first class. But then, things turn upside down...literally. The plane crashes and some of the people who survived are now stranded on an island. Is this how Miranda will spend her whole summer? Stuck on an island?
