"Adhara Cassiopeia Black...I may not be perfect-".

"HA! Did someone record that, we'll never hear those words come out of Padfoot's mouth again".

"Oh hush Mooney".

Sirius stared down at the warm bundle who stared back up at him wide eyed and swaddled in layers of blankets.

"Ahem- as I was saying" he shot a glare towards his friend followed by a small smirk.

"I may not be perfect, even though between you and I my darling I am" he ignored the huffs and muffled laughter along with groans around him.

"But I promise you I will always, always take care of you. You are of all of the stars".

Adhara Cassiopeia Black is the daughter of Sirius Orion Black though not by blood, if you were to say otherwise though you were sure to be hexed by the man himself.

There were whispers, stories... yet no one knew the true origin's of how Sirius Black came to be a father to a child that wasn't his by blood and at such a young age.

Along with the stories, Sirius knew the darkness and fear that lingered around the Black name would bring a life of hardship and battles that his daughter would have to overcome and what would make it worse was that he himself wouldn't be there to protect her.

Adhara's childhood was filled with love, laughter, magic and of course so much knowledge of the stars and constellations as well as that of her father's upbringing and of how she came to be a Black.

At the end of the day Sirius Black was her father and she would hex anyone who said any different.

Everything changed the day her Uncle James and Aunt Lily had died, a truly terrible moment in her life and to make matters worse her father was taken away from her.

Left in the care of her Uncle Remus, Adhara must navigate her teen years at Hogwarts hiding a special gift she sometimes sees as a curse, life without her father, being a social outcast due to her family name and lastly fighting feelings for a boy she knows she shouldn't have any feelings for but can't seem to stay away from.
