Adela Hawthorne is one of the 50 girls chosen to appear at court to compete for the prince's favor. A farm girl from Wisconsin, Adela has no interest in venturing to court, let alone in the prince himself. She would much rather stay at home with her pigs and her family. She only applied for the fun of it.

*This is inspired by a series by Kiara Cass titled The Selection, all credit that is due goes to her. All the characters and the main part of the plot are mine but the concept of a Selection comes from her story! I did not come up with the entire idea on my own!*
