Welcome to this little book! This is gonna be some of my better small works - poetry and short stories, for the most part, with the occasional dream that I actually end up remembering mixed in. So, sit back, relax, and prepare for a bit of angst!

MINI-SERIES 

Some of these are differentiated by a marker in their title or, in a very particular case, through a certain sign-off. I wanted to take a sec to explain the idea behind them, and let you guys know that I'll (eventually) be publishing them as actual, proper books! 

Asylum: Whenever I'm in the hospital or a mental facility, I get bored and write! I thought it would be fascinating to see all the work I make in a "damaged" state collected together. 

Unsent Letters: If I have something to say to someone but I can't for whatever reason, I'll write a letter to the person. Maybe it's angry, or sad, or an update, or just a much-needed, long-awaited hello. And the hope is that I'll publish it and maybe, someday, someone will pick my book up off a shelf and find that letter I write to them. Would sending them a letter be more effective? Yes. But it's more fun to make it into an art project!

A Big Book of Short Stories by WGHTheKing

A collection of my ideas. While most could have been cared for and nurtured until they grew into fully fledged books, they have only matured halfway, creating a efficient way to get stuck in your head. I'll also post short stories that I may or may not try turning into novels. From "The Kid is Hot Tonight," a story about such topics as high school parties and domestic abuse. To "Just Another Nightmare," a story about a kind of hell you might never have thought of. This collection will likely make you question if something is wrong with me. Spoiler alert; there is. It will also show you the farthest reaches of the world and the furthest horrors that I can write about. If you want an update on how the next story is coming along, you can ask me however you want. Seriously I'm so so lonely...

To Warm Frozen Fingers // A Short Story Collection by MidnightBeast1098

I like to write. As you may be able to tell. I haven't been very good at writing lately. As you may also have been able to tell. That's why I've decided to write a short story collection. The stories won't interlink, some may vary wildly and you might even wonder if they were written by the same person (the answer is yes). Overall, I'm aiming to write 23 stories, which was one per day for 23 days but I failed at that (*seethes* college work...) so now I'm just aiming to finish it before winter is over! The stories won't be very long - I'm only allowed to write for 10 minutes per story, just to get me going again (and literally warm my fingers, I get really really cold fingers for some reason) and the most I've ever written in that time is around 500 words. *COVER ART IS MY OWN ORIGINAL WORK* In this portfolio of short stories, I have 22 works, 63 pages, and 19,204 words. My stories are organized by emotional theme, beginning with one story about emotion in general, and then moving through stories expressing distractedness, frustration, argument, love, fear, grief, sadness, humor, innocence, and self-love. About a year ago, I discovered my love for the short story and decided to build a collection of shorter works. I'm so glad I did; the variety of plots, characters, and settings I got to explore taught me so much, and I am beyond pleased with what I have to share. I hope you enjoy reading these snapshots of the human experience as much as I did creating them.

One of the favourite lessons reading books has taught me is that you're never alone, not alteast in thoughts and words. There are others who think like you, feel like you and react like you. It's like that sometimes, our unspoken thoughts are the bridges that connect us, even though we might be miles apart. And so, I've written them down in the hope that there are many out there in this world who would be willing to walk these bridges leading to me-the real, raw and unhidden self I am- my heart and mind and soul. DISCLAIMER: Some of the works within here will contain photos. This year my emotions have gone awry, so I've been unable to put away my pen and paper. just a collection of free verse/rondel poems(short stories to lengthy ones I guess) I've written over the course of ten months so far some won't be uploaded as I know they would get flagged as to dark of topics so yeah enjoy or don't. Feed back is helpful I didn't really pay attention in my English class during poetry so I don't really know how to punctuate the poems. Also I know the first one is pretty bad but it was the first I've ever written the rest I think are okay but we're our worst critics after all. Also there are some with dark topics such a suicidal ideation, abuse of a child, sexual abuse, and not technically a dark topic but metaphorical suicide which talks about suicide so you have been warned for when I get around to uploading the darker poems.
