DISCLAIMER -> TAKE THE FANFIC LIGHTLY ! writing this after a year (?) or two. Y/N didn't live the best of lives. At the young age of eight he came home to discover his parents murdered. It was later discovered that ghouls were responsible. He's what got him through those four years by simply being there for him. Unfortunately he to was killed by a ghoul. Y/N had nothing. Wanting to just escape everything at the end of high school he enlisted in the US Army Rangers. During his five years of service he was stationed in Japan he enjoyed the city of Tokyo a lot. By the time he retired he decided on moving to Tokyo where he quickly picked up Japanese. With the money he got from the military he bought a small bookstore that had an apartment just above it. The area of Tokyo be lived in had very few if any ghoul attacks. His view on them changed over time as he'd be rescued by one on his way back from a store.
