"Hey, girl! Move it!" I hear one of the guards on the side of the square order her. But she does not move. Instead, she walks forwards.
"I'll take the director's place." She then says, shocking everyone. Even the director. Even the criminals. Immediately, whispers erupt from everywhere around us. I frown, why the director? Why not me? Well, better me than someone else, but I still wouldn't mind. The boss then raises her hand in response, a simple, calm raise of the left hand, asking for attention and silence. And it works like a miracle. Everyone stops whispering and everyone looks at the evolving scene with interest and fear.

"Hey," I get her attention as I sit closer to her. "We're doing everything we can to find this mob okay? You'll be out of this situation in no time."
