Two years have passed since the Angels gave Clary her punishment. Even with Clary's memories gone, Jace's love for her remained. With the same fiery passion she had in the Shadow World, she begins to live her mundane life to the fullest, building friendships and... a new love. Even knowing she can't see him, oblivious of her new love, Jace continuous to keep an eye on Clary, making sure she's alright. 

The night Clary's Sight returns, Jace can't believe the Angels have granted him another chance. Thinking the worst years are finally behind him now that he will be able to be with Clary, he soon comes to realize that worse is yet to come.
