You had ways to avoid reality, to engage in a moment of respite from the harsh world you knew to be true. What better time to do that than during the worlds largest pandemic of the 21st century?
Covid19 had brought about many a change, namely the inability to leave your house for anything that wasn't necessary. So you had to find ways to occupy your time and in doing so, you found yourself once again immersed in the anime and manga world. Specifically Black Butler.
While you may have been immersed in the series figuratively at first, you had no idea that would all change because of a stupid meme.
