Based off the characters from A Christmas Carol, the story is in the perspective of Jacob Marley, Scrooge's ex business partner, who is forced to roam the world, weighed down by chains, as a punishment for his life decisions. He wishes he could save Scrooge, and jumps up at the chance when given the opportunity. However, in a time where their love is forbidden, can they keep their love for each other a secret forever?

I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people.
