About a year ago, I was assigned to write a short story for my english class. The story had to be a satire of a popular fairytale and it had to have some kind of current issue. I chose to do Cinderella, and I decided to make her transgender. (my current issue was transphobia)
I am not trans so please let me know if I need to fix anything!

Waking up to a new reality
Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.Concluida

The Glass Princess: True To Yourself
Months after 23-year-old Trans girl Emily reunites with her childhood friend Naomi, the two of them begin the university year. Till now, Emily's trans identity and relationship with Naomi was mostly a secret. Emily initially finds herself acting differently for approval, wanting to be like the girls around her. She never got to publically be a school girl till now, Emily aims to get that experience she missed out on, but in her own way. Despite her fears, she must confront her past, the present and think of who she wants to be in her future. To be the Glass Princess she would see in the mirror since she was a child. Emily does her best to heal and learn to be true to herself Trigger warnings: A new character introduced nearly says a transphobic slur near the end of the story but is interrupted before they can say it.Concluida

Peter's life had finally been looking up. After being adopted and made Peter Stark two years prior and with a boyfriend of two years, Peter couldn't have asked for more. Of course, the infamous Parker Luckᴛᴍ strikes again, and a field trip to his home is sprung upon the young boy. With Flash to worry about and the one secret he has so far kept from his new family potentially being revealed, Peter is struggling to keep happy. What will this bring for the young Spiderling? Will his family discover his secret? Will his class discover his other secret? Will the web of secrets he's spun catch up to him? What will happen when all is revealed, and will Flash make it out the other side? Yes this is probably overdone but I wanted to do one that isn't just loads of one shots and is kinda fluffy and hopefully not overly cliché(?) Idk guys let me know what you think. Thomas should live in a time and age where people don't care about sexuality or gender identification but that isn't true as his mother refuses to think of him as anything other than her son and Thomas. To the people important in his life, Thomas is actually Ginger and a female. She's almost done with high school and ready to get out from under her oppressive mother's thumb and live the rest of her life how she wants to. This is a story I wrote for creative writing class. I wasn't intending to publish it so I didn't think much about the title. I did take the original title of A Glass Slipper by Jackson Terrance. I really loved this title and I was sad when they changed it.Concluida

This is a short story about a band-obsessed outcasted teen and the handsome barista of the new café. (Cliché, i know. But pfff) Gabe is around his two best and only friends almost all of the time. The people in school make fun of him because they don't think he's 'cool enough'. But Gabe ignores them as good as he can. When the three of them go to the new café down the road, the hot barista immediately catches Gabes eyes. The barista seems pretty interested but Gabe is too scared he will only make fun of him like the others. What will happen when Gabes best friend pressures him into inviting the barista to her party? __________ Lol this sounds shitty but the book actually isn't THAT bad hahaha. Check it out if you like.
