Sans and Papyrus witnessed a lot of his nightmares and sleep fighting and talking that turns into screaming. Will the boy's convinced their father to get help? They knew Gaster and Grillby used to be in the war against humans and monsters. They also knew Gaster and Grillby used to date during the war. What will Gaster do when he sees Grillby for the first time in years? Will Grillby help him? Will Grillby and Gaster become a couple again?

The young skelebros escape from the core and head to Snowdin. Grillby finds them decides to take them in but finds out it may be much more difficult than he thought. Papyrus likes Grillby but it takes Sans some time before fully trusting him and even then there are things that he doesn't want to share.
