New beginnings don't always sit right with me. Every time me and my mother settle down and become comfortable with where we are, a big ass storm just has to ruin it. This makes four times in the past year we've had to move. This time we arrive in the straight hood of Compton. Not having much to begin with, this was a step up. My mom recently got a job as a nurse and they paid for her and I to live here. I don't make many friends because of what I don't have. I don't have money to call my own, I don't drive my own car, I don't where the flyest clothes and I definitely don't have the latest shoes to walk the block with. Shit, I don't even have a phone. I never had a girl on my arm because, these days, girls fall in love with all that good shit. But I do have determination so I know I'm going to be something someday.

Someday, I will have my own Kingdom to call mine!
