The title kinda says it all but in case you would like more info...
So you know the Mechanisms, that's why you're here, well here's a fic about them in college written by someone who isn't nearly old enough to be in college. Also, I'm projecting. kind of a lot. This includes but is not limited to pining :(, a character with anxiety, a character who struggles with their gender identity, a character who feels pressure to be the smart one, and Toy Soldier.
