""Art?" she said, bringing me back to reality. Right as I opened my mouth to speak, I heard tires squealing. I looked behind her, squinting through the pouring rain, just in time to see a car plow into her side of the jeep. She shot forward out of her seat as we flipped. I tried to grab her as everything was happening in slow motion for me, but she slipped through my fingers and exited the jeep through the windshield. I managed to jump out of the car as it continued flipping. I landed in the mud, rolling a few times before being able to get back on my feet. I looked at her a few feet away from me. I could see blood pooling around her body and mixing with the water. No, this couldn't be happening. I jumped up and ran to her body. I picked her head up, laying it in my lap. Her shirt was drenched in blood and it was spilling out of her mouth."

"THE AFTERLIFE CAN BE A REAL BITCH, RIGHT?" "Henri-" I began, but Henri's hand snatched up mine and squeezed tightly enough to break bones. I bit my tongue to hold back a cry. It was a warning. "Maria didn't say anything about a couple of vampires wanting to meet with her," the green-haired warlock spoke after the area had stilled with electrified silence. I looked Henri's way, and that's really when our situation caught up with me. Wait... "Maria..." I murmured in remembrance, then sent Henri a glare. "Why are we here to see Maria Day? If you don't remember, let me remind you that I killed her friend. Hell, her master. She'll kill me when she sees me." Henri had the nerve to laugh softly. "You're already dead, Antoinette." "Thanks to you. There are other ways witches can hurt vampires, aren't there?" My eyes traveled shortly to the warlocks, Daniel and Zachary, and I shook my head. "She'll burn me alive! I'm not going in there." "You're overacting," Henri said with a dramatic eye roll with a worth of a slap across his face. Lucky for him, I kept my hands at my sides. This night was about to get dangerous... This is Book 3 of The Hunters Saga! 1st draft, so there WILL be mistakes! "No, I can't...." I heard him mumbled between labored breath, then that's when I saw blood drifting from his mouth. I tried not to panic even more knowing that kind of amount of blood coming from someone's mouth means really bad. "Sam come on!"I protested as I heard the branch made a cracking sound. "You should go. Please find her.....Find my sister.." He didn't finish what he was about to say when the branch break and we were carried by the rushing water again. I held him not letting go. His eyes went wide when we saw that we are about to hit a big rock. "Find my sister!" I heard him shout before he pushed me away from the rock. I heard it, I heard the impact of his body hit the rock. "Sam!!!!!!" I screamed! but it was shortlived when I felt my head hit something before everything went black. --- A/N This story are only based on my imagination.
