~Authors Note~
*If you are not a diehard Harry Potter series fan, especially the book series, some of the comments made in this fanfiction relating to the series will not make sense and will therefore be confusing. I encourage you to read the book series, as it holds so much more than the movies could fit! But of course, all are welcome here.*
This book takes place on a modified timeline based on the Harry Potter novel series by J.K. Rowling. In this book, Draco Malfoy & company are in their 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. According to this version of events, Voldemort did not interfere with the Tri-Wizard Tournament in book 4, Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Cedric Diggory, then, did not meet his fate. Harry Potter did not enter the tournament, as his name was not entered. Cedric Diggory won the Tri-Wizard Tournament, instead. Additionally, the age limit for the tournament was 16 instead of 17, as (in this universe) Cedric Diggory is only 1 year ahead of the rest of the main characters. The following year, the Order of the Pheonix began to stir as they heard rumors about Voldemort's return. During this time, Harry Potter lives a relatively normal life. Dumbledore is never removed from power and Umbridge is never on Hogwarts property.
It isn't until their 6th year (taking place during Harry Potter & the Halfblood Prince) that Harry realizes Voldemort has returned via his visions/mental connection to Voldemort. During this fanfiction, the normal events of book 6 occur. This fanfiction will also show the events of book 7, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, with a modified ending. Obviously, this is a Draco Malfoy fanfiction and will not follow the events through they eyes of Harry Potter or any of the Gryffindors. This book will mostly focus on Slytherin characters as main characters and Hufflepuff characters as supporting roles.
