I do not own the art on the cover or Epic Seven. This story was created by my friends and me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When there is a constant battle for power and control, everyone is focused on winning. Everyone wants to get to the top. QuietField finds themselves in a difficult situation. Life as a guild member is dangerous. You either fight and win, or fight and die. Most guilds are made of people who have been drafted or forced to join, but QuietField is different. Everyone in the guild is willingly there. Something happened to each and every one of the guild members. Something caused these people to rebel against their previous guild. They're there for a cause. Who knows how long it's going to take. Who knows what their reason is for the betrayal. In the midst of all the chaos, the guild members find themselves opening up to one another. Some fall deeper in love, others become close friends. Read as these dark, little secrets slowly unravel as relationships grow and build on their sympathy and understanding for each other...

The First

I was the first. I arrived in the Glade, and there was nothing and... no one. I remembered nothing about who I was, who my parents were, what happened. A few days I remembered my name, and that's it. That's all that ever came back. There were four walls surrounding me with only one exit. I wanted to go through, so I did, in hopes of finding my way out. What I found lurking on the other side was not an exit but something much worse. I found my way back, and I spent the next month fending for myself. Food, water, a temporary shelter. After a month, someone else arrived, and this person arrived with supplies. Every month a new person was sent up. Every arrival was the same as mine. They couldn't remember anything. I was the first one here, and that means that I call the shots, I make the rules, and I run the place.
