In mid 1800s America, the discovery of gold had become the talk of the town. One man by the name of John Griffith attempts to move west in search for gold, only to realize that by the time he gets there, the gold rush is in its decline. The gold markets have been capitalized and the only way for him to make money was to turn to the people on top. When Mr Meyers, a mining company executive visits the work site John happens to be at, a relationship begins to form, with opposite intentions.
