After the tragic death of her mother, 18 year old Alice Sasaki moved to Japan to live in the house her father left to her in his will. It's been nearly a year since then and she's been trying to make a career out of being an author.
One day as she returned home from visiting some friends of her late father, Alice stumbled upon an odd looking injured dog inside her house, laying in a pool of it's own blood.

Unknown to Alice, this is no ordinary dog. Alice has found a demon and not just any demon. It was the great demon Sesshomaru! Having never believed in yokai or monsters, this is a shock for Alice, but at the same time she oddly isn't really afraid of him. She had always loved fantasy stories so to her this was amazing. Sesshomaru on the other hand, had found her home after following a hauntingly familiar scent that had led him to her.

Alice has a face that reminded so much of a woman he was in love with a long time ago. Leading him to eventually believe the two could somehow be connected.
