Imagine the word "training" as being the word people would use to describe your entire life.
Well, that's a reality for my uncle who had trained more than he played, trained more than he studied and trained more than he slept.
There was not one single day where he was not out rowing at the lake and all those hours, days and years shaped him to be one of the best rowers of not only Saskatchewan but of Canada and pretty much the world.

If you're a sport's fanatic, a mystery lover or you're just looking for a short motivational story...

Here is the first draft of a biography of my uncle Anthony "Tony" Zasada.

At just 22 years old, Amelia had made Team USA in three events: the 800 meters, the 400 meters, and the 4x400 relay. She was a favorite for gold, her effortless stride and iron will making her nearly unbeatable on the track. But as poised as she seemed on the outside, there was a storm of emotions swirling within. The weight of her family's accomplishments pressed on her like an invisible hand. Her mother, a two-time Olympic bronze medalist in the 1500. Her father, a legendary NFL quarterback who'd won three Super Bowls. Her sister, a volleyball gold medalist. And then there was Ash, her older brother, competing in swimming at these very games. Amelia tried not to let the pressure overwhelm her. After all, she loved competition. She loved the thrill of pushing herself beyond her limits, of feeling like she was flying when she sprinted to the finish line. But as soon as she stepped into the Olympic Village, she realized there was one competitor she hadn't accounted for: Leon Marchand. Leon was a force of nature. A French swimmer who had trained in the United States, he was one of the best in the world and a household name in both countries. He had golden-brown hair that looked like it belonged on a sun-kissed beach, piercing blue eyes that sparkled with mischief, and a body chiseled from years of relentless training. His deep voice carried the kind of confidence that could charm anyone, and his accent only amplified his appeal. He was also Ash's main rival in the pool, a fact that complicated everything. Disclaimer: it's rated mature for two spice ends that are not until the very end. I hope this is a fun read for you to enjoy as much I did writing it. It's my first one so please be kind!

All he wants is to get away from his home for the summer before he leaves for university. So when he sees an ad online about a job teaching kids how to ride dirtbikes, Maddox sends in his resumé immediately. What's better than nursing one of his passions (dirt biking) and getting away from his psychotic father? Calla has heard of Maddox Kase before, and although she knows it's impolite to judge people without getting to know them, she's a little skeptical of working with him. But as the summer goes on, both Calla and Maddox begin to realize that they have a lot more in common than they originally thought. And maybe something a lot bigger than a simple friendship...
