I look through the rearview mirror at the rubble that used to be my hometown as I fiddle with the necklace around my neck. It's the only real reminder of how things were six months ago. I then glanced over at the other inhabitants of the small school bus we managed to salvage and just smile. After everything that's happened, we're finally leaving. I definitely didn't think senior year would end quite like this, I have no idea what we're going to find once we leave this place, I don't even know what's left standing in the rest of the world. The one thing I do know is that we can survive what we have the last few months, we will be able to survive anything.

Hi, I am a wallflower. Today I "graduated" from middle school. I will graduate high school in 2019. I made this story just talk about my first year of high school, freshman year.
