Emiko Hikima was always running away from things. Whether it be from other kids when she was young, with her parents trying to escape the past they tried to bury or most recently, from All For One after he killed her family.
After living in captivity for over a year, Emiko finds herself attending the hero school that her quite-possibly-dead brother always dreamed and finding that its ideals might not be that far from what she really wants. Then she meets him. The annoying boy with the purple hair that Emiko feels weirdly drawn to. But just as she feels like she is fitting in, someone gets shot and Emiko realises that the safety of the UA walls may not be strong enough to protect her from the secrets that haunt her.
