Before Luz left, an oath was made. An oath that made sure that Luz would come back soon and see Amity and everyone else. 
     "Remember to come back and visit if not stay" , Amity said drawing a circle around their hands
     " But-" ,Luz tried to argue helplessly.
    " No Luz. No buts or anything. We can't go around breaking oaths. We don't know what would happen" ,Amity responded with a soft smile.
    The two girls looked each other in that eye as they started to cry. Than Amity gave a tight hug. One that was most certainly not their last, at least not until they were to meet again.

In the wake of her heartbreak Amity meets a new girl attending Hexide who might just love her in the way Luz doesn't. Alongside this Amity is desperate to escape the abuse of her parents, but with no where to turn she is losing hope fast. Will Luz figure out how she feels for Amity in time? Or will the duo remain little more than friends forever onward? This story takes place after episode 17 but episode 18 and 19 never happened in this AU and Amity never broke her leg. Her first time going through it was hard, which was to be expected as she was only fourteen, but it wasn't completely unbearable. Her parents simply brought her to a room in the manor designed specifically for times like that and she stayed there for the week that it lasted. Fifteen came and went, and Amity had come to terms with the fact that this would be her routine for the foreseeable future. She was okay with that. ...Then the human came. Especially when she finds out there is more to her companion than she originally thought and she is thrown into something much bigger. Just when I had finally felt myself giving up; the dead surrounding me, what little remained of my hope dissipating, the final thoughts of my life and my family leaving me as well as possibly my life. Something happened I had not been prepared for. Before the dead could finally close in, a figure jumped from above acting as a wall between the monsters and myself. They looked back, yet all I could see were red eyes.
