rainbeau leonis is an eighteen year old woman with a new perspective on life after the passing of her absentee mother. due to her being raised as an only child with a father who's general opinion on feelings and emotions were clearly pessimistic and almost combative, she kept her aspirations inside. to prove her father wrong and try to better understand her mothers life, she begins working at an assisted living facility in the suburbs. there is where she meets fred, a complicated man who's outlook on life is similar to her fathers after becoming physically disabled a year before their meeting. sooner than she expected, she begins learning bits and pieces about fred's life that start to complicate things.
