Artemis doesn't remember anything about her past, only her name. She had one job only, and it was to go to the addresses sent by text through her burner phone, save the person from harm and leave for the next place assigned. She doesn't know who sends the texts, nor who sends the hits to the victims.
That was how she went by her day until she started to get hunted down, having the unfortunate luck of being in New York City at the same time as Captain America and Black Widow. She didn't have anything more interesting to do unless you counted stealing for a living and killing assholes for fun. So she gave being friends with heroes a try, choosing to see what's it like to be on the right side of the law.

She always longs to dance and be a pretty ballerina. she wanted to do point. So when she got out at 12 she worked as a diner cook for a while until she had enough money to pay for lessons then on and so forth she has been learning to dance and has been a dancer for about 6 years now. (Ik it is unrealistic) She's been in many dance showcases and she is a growing ballerina. She is now 18 She was found at her part time job as a cook in a diner, she drives a motorcycle and was about to go to lessons when Shield took her in and made her an agent and she has been living there her whole life now. Her and fury are close but when the avengers come to the helicarrier and find her training what will fury and the avengers do when the avengers want her on their team and fury doesn't. A SHIELD scientist announces. "You said that this morning." Dr. Erik Selvig points out. "What the hell is going on with it?" "We don't know, the tests show that it just turned on itself." She responds. "Its giving off low levels of gamma radiation. Nothing that harmful." Selvig nods and walks back to his station, seeing if the energy levels go up anymore. And they do. But before Selvig could even utter a word a beam comes out of the tesseract. The beam is much like the Biofrost bridge; Too bright and blue. It caused a slight shake to the structure but not enough to make the building cave it on itself, though. Once the tesseract dies down, the energy levels become stable quickly along with the tesseract itself. But there is something left behind from the outburst. A person to be more exact. As everyone gets a better look at the figure, they notice the dirty, ripped dark red peacoat with some buttons torn off, smudge-y black leggings, long dirty blonde hair, brown leather combat boots, and finally what she has in her hands that are hanging at her sides.
