Jeanette Pond was used to not being the center of attention, and preferred not to be noticed actually. She was a kind woman who always seemed to have her nose in a book. Being the center of attention wasn't something she was overly comfortable with, unless she was spouting some fact about history. So, naturally she left the spot light for her younger sister.

Mycroft Holmes left the 'fame' business to his brother. He was rather comfortable with his minor position in the Government, working from the sidelines to keep England safe. No need for 'unnecessary leg work', yet he still could make an influence.

These people couldn't have been more different. A gentle, emotional woman and man often referred to as 'The Ice Man'. Yet, they were alike in so many ways. So, what happens when they meet one another? Can the eldest Holmes see past the woman's quiet, dull, exterior to the interesting person with in? And can Pond break down the man's walls, and melt the ice with in his heart?
