Ghosts wander the earth a year after they die so they have time to finish their business on earth. But this particular ghost died without proclaiming his love to his crush. So he spends his year doing whatever he can to show the girl that he loved her, but it can never be. As a final wish, he's allowed to spend a night with her, but must spend eternity in hell as a result. He takes that chance, but after that night, he knows he can never see her again and gives his goodbyes as they end their love that was never supposed to happen.
