Inko Midoriya has been lying for 12 years. But so has Hisashi Midoriya. The truth is that Inko and Hisashi divorced, and they each took a child. Izuku was not an only child, he has a twin sister: Cyra. Neither of the siblings knows about the other, for they were separated when they were three. Hisashi isn't even his real name, just another lie to keep Izuku from finding his sister. Cyra grew up believing her mother was called Myra.
