He nearly cried out at the impact. The Black Paladin dug his hands into the fabric of his shirt, pushing him harshly against the wall, "Where is Lance?!" Keith snarled. It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother.
Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him."
In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath.
(They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in
Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)

One deca-phoeb, a Galra female by the name of Krolia kept the Galra from finding the Blue Lion. However, her ship received damages and she crashed. A human found her, badly injured, and took care of her. With time, this human gained Krolia's trust and her affection. A baby boy was born to them and they were happy. They though nothing could ruin their happiness; they were wrong. The Galra picked up the signals of the Blue Lion and returned to Earth. She left to protect her family and the Lion but her husband followed her. He helped, but died. The Lion was safe but Krolia had lost her lover and her little child had lost a father. She took him with her, in the hope of keeping him safe and protect the Lion, but they were captured by the Galra. Krolia was forced to fight for their lives in the arena, but lost her own eventually. Her child grew up, learning the Galra customs and fighting styles, fighting - no, surviving - in the arena. He had privileges, allowing him to wander the ship they were all held on. He befriended the other gladiators and taught them how to survive, even the Champion. Together, the Champion and the child escaped, headed to Earth, in hopes to protect what had cost the child so much and could change the fate of the entire Universe. "S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. He began to gently trace over Lance's fingers, sending shivers up Lance's arm and down his spine. "You have looong fingers," Keith murmured after a few moments. Keith's face perked up then, as if he'd just had a brilliant idea, and Lance could almost not wait to hear what new obscure thought had entered Keith's pretty head. He was prepared to laugh, and instead found himself shivering again as Keith leaned far into his personal bubble, lips practically touching Lance's ear when he spoke next. That too. - in which keith has been exposed to a mysterious gas, forcing his galra traits to bubble to the surface. and with this comes the troubles of accepting the other half of him, even after the galra captured his people. all the while lance has to deal with the fact that keith was brought here by red, the extension of his own quintessence. he's still struggling to grasp his own life.. what does it all mean anymore?
