My name is Evelyn Rose Queen. 

The second child of Robert and Moira Queen.

I'm two years younger than my brother Oliver, and 15 years older than my sister, Thea. I love my life. If anyone were to ask me if I'm rich, I'd say I'm comfortable, if not happy, 'cause that's what all rich people say. My dad, Robert, is a business-man who practically built his own enterprise, Queen Consolidated, and my mom helps him run the business, as well as helping take care of us rowdy group known as the Queen kids. 

When I say rowdy I mean really rowdy. Oliver, or Ollie as I call him, is the eldest, and he's a real party animal. He gets drunk and wakes up in strange places all the time, mostly after a 'sleepover' with a girl he literally just met. At least, that's what it was called to deter my curiosity. Not that I didn't know what it meant, though. He's a playboy, or at least that's what Mom and Dad call him. He gets in heaps of trouble with the cops and stuff, though. I like to party, but not as much as Oliver. A good drink and some dancing normally gets me going. I hate boys that flirt with me excessively. Also, I know a tad bit of karate, which helps me get out of some sticky situations. Thea's the youngest, so she doesn't really party much. Not at all, actually. 

I'm happy. I wouldn't trade my life for the world. I get straight A's, I'm a very good student and I love people, if they're not trying to get to me for my family's money in any way, shape or form. Good people can be hard to come by these days. 

But things were about to change - and the day that I got the news that my brother Oliver's boat, The Queen's Gambit, went down in international waters 2,100 nautical miles east of Australia, that was the day my life changed...All Rights Reserved

"Evelyn-" Grayson's arm wraps around my arm and I'm tugged back, flipping around to face him. "What the fuck do you want Grayson?" My harsh voice echos in the empty, open hallway. "God, I dont know what you want me to do. I have tried everything to get you to forgive me." He takes a sharp breath when I pull a knife out of my pocket and hold it to his stomach. "You really want to know why I haven't forgiven you?" He stares down at me blankly and gives a short nod. "Because you took the one thing I hoped you would care for." I press the knife ever so slightly more into his skin, causing only a small reaction from Grayson. His jaw clenches before he speaks. "And that is?" I shake my head at how stupid he is. You would think the taker of the Valor family business would be smarter. But no. I use my free arm to grab his tie and tug on it, leaning him down. He was so close to me. I could feel his warm breath against my lips. We were only inches away. "My trust Grayson."

Oliver had a little sister named Thea when he was 6, Oliver is 15 when Barry's mother is murdered. 2 years later, Oliver decides to go with his father Robert Queen on a business trip to China. They set out on the Quen family yacht, the Queens Gambit. Through a work of fate, Oliver and Barry end up on Lian Yu together, 5 years ahead of schedule for when Oliver was supposed to end up on the island. How will things differ and be the same during those 5 years? What will it be like when they come back to "civilization". Read on to find out. 2015 rolled in with a bang, and it did not have the grace to gift me with a social life that everyone in a one hundred year radius would be jealous of or that is even just the talk of the town. Instead I got myself into a complicated relationship which wasn't much talked about, a relationship that I didn't get into is talked about all the time and university is around the figurative corner. But let us not forget that my parents are finally getting married and Mum can't shop for lace without me wanting to kill her, add in a dose of sleepless nights, invigorating kisses - which have nothing to do with the sleepless nights and a lot to do with nightmares - Harriet not knowing the meaning of the words "you're done" and Ice Ice Baby is still a thing. We're all growing up (except Dad who will still make inappropriate jokes at every inappropriate moment, some to do with what cannot be done when you're wearing a plaster cast) and holidays are being planned though some are less holiday and more a mad dash to find somewhere to live out in the big wide world without our parents.
