When the Last Petal Falls

"I know that it sounds too much like beauty and the beast, but I am serious. When the last petal falls I will be gone."
Ironically, her name was Daisy-Rose Thorne.
She knew her life would end when the last petal fell from the flowers.
Every day she felt weaker, she knew when a petal fell, she almost fainted from weakness sometimes. Other times, when it was purposefully plucked by an animal or some other creature, there was a jabbing pain in her body that shook her and chilled her blood.
She knew they were almost gone. They were being destroyed faster than ever before and she was fainter every day.
She meets Zac Weston and together they plan to find the source of her life, the hiding place, or secret field of flowers and try to protect them in order to prolong her life.
It is a dangerous and terrifying journey. They know they might never find the flowers and they are running out of time, but whatever happens, they know they will never forget each other and the adventure they shared.
