The modern world ...we have been through 3890 years of survival ...we are by far the longest intelligent civilization of them all. All those rumors about green house gas... Global warming , solar flares , meteorites  and pathogens ending the world , disappeared .It seemed like everything was finally being out back together ... Until ... The impossible happened ... We have no explanation for it .. Nor do we understand how it was even possible but ..It happened ... I stand corrected ... It's happenING . NOW. All the stories we were told seemed so far fetched  .But as we sat ,evolving ... Changing ,enhancing .. So did they . Animals , mutated .. Plants ,overgrew .. We were too busy thriving to notice the consequences .Soon those scary stories weren't told to send chills down the backs of your friends ,they were told to warn people about reality outside the walls of the last human city alive . that's not all ... What else could possibly happen?..Fasten your seatbelt I'm about to tell you..
