Book One of the 'Guardians' Series
~ In a time and place where creatures of darkness run all but rampant, childhood friends... a boy who lived as a servant, and a prince, whom he served... must come to terms with their lives' harsh realities as they are thrust separately without warning into a world of murder, vampires, and demons.
Following their individual stories, they will meet mysterious characters, fall into unfortunate circumstance, and struggle to overcome their overwhelming adversaries as they grapple with the darker tides lying beyond the veil of their mundane.
This is a story of fantasy, horror, love, and death... filled with veins of combat, subterfuge, and the supernatural.
Notes:
- the prologue isn't required to understand the rest of the story. It only adds extra context for things; adds to the backstory of the main character. It is about an hour read or so, so feel free to skip it if prologues aren't your vibe :3
- to the folks reading this for the omegaversey love story vibes, the character who will become the main character's possible romantic counterpart shall be introduced in Chapter VI
