This is a story that is near and dear to my heart. I've been daydreaming about it since I was 8 years old. Now it is written down and it's time to share it.
Fifteen years ago the siege happened, leaving behind a sole survivor saved by a boy not much older than her. However, the boy's mission does not go as planned he finds the girl to be much more stubborn to leave her home than he realizes. Which brings them to a truce...6 months of the year he will return home to his village hidden within The Sands, a mythical place that few knows exist. The other 6 months he spends with her in the mountains safe and hidden from the outside world that keeps evolving and changing. Until this visit when they find that she may not be the sole survivor after all and that her sister is in fact alive and very well. Refusing to leave her sister behind they venture out to rescue her only remaining family and break free from the chains that the siege put on her.
