Metas existed. It wasn't a secret. Few people were okay with metas living among them. Most people tried to keep metas and humans separated. Humans got a lot more privilege, no matter what metas tried. Protests? Ignored. Hiding your powers? They always found out. It had been going on for decades now, since the first ever meta sighting was recording, and it was common knowledge that metas deserved less. One college student had the brilliant idea to stand up for his fellow metas. For the first time in history, a meta accomplished something and wasn't struck down for it. When another college student comes around with a less than ideal past with a potential villain, will his connection tip the scales of justice or will his efforts be for naught? Before, when the world spun full circle and people cared about binging shows and listening to their favorite diss tracks from beefing rap stars, the thought of the end of the world was a figurative rumination that was always there but stuck in one's back of mind. How vastly naive that thinking was. The world did end. Figurative became surreal and quite literal as they came down hard and fast; aliens that are bigger than oak trees and faster than a cheetah out hunting to feed their young. They took lives, uncaring about anything except the children they could control and sank their teeth into the youth of our world to use them as slaves for their motives. What they weren't planning on was creating something they couldn't control. Sorry...not something. Someone. Me.
A Link To The Past [Nikke x Legendary Commander]
Humanity once stood on the top of the world. They ruled the planet with an iron grip. Their rise in technology, industry, engineering, and science were quickly growing. However, an invasion on a worldwide scale had occurred in late 2023. Though there were initial successes in repelling these unknown, mechanical entities. They would eventually start to gain ground through quick adoption of newer variants of their beings and adjusting to counter common military tactics. However, more was needed, so came the introduction of Nikkes, an experimental female soldier that would be the first cybernetic frontline soldier. Even though there were attempts of converting males to such a task, they would become unsuccessful, as it was found out that males were more susceptible to cognitive dissonance and suicide. And so, females ranging from 18 to 30 years of age would remain the main source of Nikkes. As the war raged on, more variants of Nikkes would reinforce or replace the quickly diminishing forces of the world. There would be a significant breakthrough in the Nikkes, with the introduction of the Grimm models of Nikkes. Five Nikkes would be produced by a now defunct company. This squad would be called Goddess. They would be commanded by a special forces Captain Nicholas Miller, and through their first missions, they would further prove the effectiveness of specialized Nikkes and even push the Raptures back some. However, even their efforts would not be enough to stop the tithe of Raptures from encompassing Europe. After many years of fighting, there was one last desperate defense of a structure known as the Ark. Unfortunately, humanity would end up underground where they would spend the next 5 centuries fighting the raptures in smaller scale battles, skirmishes, and special operations. All while the fates of Goddess squad and the now legendary Captain Nicholas Miller had remained a mystery.

It is extremely rare, and most people born with the defect are made aware of their powers at a young age due to their powers erupting, forcing most to go into hiding to avoid being experimented on by the government. Those who do not hide, die. The government hasn't been able to get their hands on a mutated being, mainly due to a secret organisation aiding in the hiding and training of those individuals. This same organisation has gone to deadly lengths just to make sure the government has little to no information about their powers. People with powers and this organisation are viewed as an old wives tale by the rest of the world, made up to gain traction. The world will soon know how real it truly is.
Flashback to the Future
They hated each other since day one. They were nemesis. One won't bow down on the other. Their future however, have held them accountable and that accountability means they have to be partners. They didn't have an ideal past together. Flashback of what they had can either make them or break them. What's it going to be?
