Caiden was a survivor. She had survived fifteen years in a tiny cell with 29 other kids, all struggling to stay alive. Little does she know that there's a virus ravaging the outside world. It kills people in weeks, and there is no known cure. When she's exposed to the virus, instead of being infected, she gains superpowers and she and her best friend Fox escape the tiny cell and flee to a small camp of rebels who are fighting against the government, the same people who took all of the kids to begin with. Meanwhile, the woman in charge of the operation that is taking the children away from their families takes notice of Caiden's specific power, and thinks she might finally have a way of curing this virus for good.

Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.
