The Bane of the Titans
The gods of the ancient Mediterranean Sea, find themselves cornered when their predecessors return from the farthest depths of the underworld. Now cornered, the deities rely on the few remaining demi-gods to defend the world against its usurpers. I wrote this story back in 2012, when I was still in grade 10, with the intention of one day publishing it. However, with the release of the Percy Jackson series, my dreams of publishing this story shattered. My writing career then transitioned into a lot more writing and experiencing life, which means when I look back on this story, I look back on it with pride. Pride in the amount I have grown as a writer and as a person. So please love this story, for all its misguided morals, poor writing techniques, and littered mistakes because we all start somewhere.Zakończone
Hearth's Home
It was suppose to be regulare Winter Solstice. The first one after the second war. The usual boring meeting of the gods that was to take place. The event to happen after was what many gods, satyrs, nymphs and demigods looked forward to. The party that would be hosted on Olympus. All Olympians were together. Some of the demigod children were also in the throne room talking amongst themselves, ironically most argued with the children of the gods their parents were arguing with. Though it all came to a halt when Hestia stood up and walked through a door that appeared in the middle of the throne room. Worried for their sister/aunt the other Olympians followed. The demigods that were also in the room followed suit. They were all greeted by the sight of a simple hearth inside a rustic looking home. A little girl whose form seemed to shift. Though their attention was drawn to the young male who was adding a log to the fire before he noticed them. "Ah, come take a seat. Welcome to the Hearth's Home." Came a warm greeting from the male. Without noticing they all put their weapons away.
The Anthology of Heroes
This anthology features various stories set in the fandom universe of the original manga series, Fairy Tail. If inspiration for new stories in this fandom runs dry, other fandoms will be incorporated. A personal favourite that seems to receive little recognition is the fandom of the original movie, How To Train Your Dragon, specifically the version released earlier this year featuring real-life characters. This fandom captivates with its rich world-building and engaging character development, exploring themes of friendship, courage, and the profound bond between humans and creatures. The real-life adaptation offers a fresh perspective and greater depth to the beloved tale, making it even more captivating. It portrays the story of a boy once ridiculed by his peers who ultimately earns their respect and admiration. Hiccup, the protagonist, transforms from an awkward, underestimated youth into a courageous and respected leader. Along his journey, he embraces his unique perspective and strengths, demonstrating that empathy and understanding can bridge the divide between humans and dragons. His growth is reflected in his ability to inspire others and foster harmony between the two worlds. Readers are encouraged to share their thoughts in the comments section of each chapter, as constructive feedback provides valuable insight into what resonates and what may need improvement. Such engagement helps refine storytelling techniques and deepen character development, enhancing the narrative's overall quality. In addition, interaction with readers fosters a sense of community and connection, encouraging more dynamic, participatory storytelling. Ultimately, Hiccup's journey underscores the transformative power of empathy, courage, and self-discovery, inspiring both personal growth and communal harmony.
Nezzar
King Nebuchadnezzar was a beast of war, ripping through nation after nation and carrying home spoils to great Babylon. He was unaware of two ruthless spiritual entities tasked with keeping his war-mongering in check, neither did he contemplate gods from neighbouring territories and long-imprisoned enemies shaking awake and setting their gaze upon the principality of Babylon. Amid tension among gods, spirits, and angels, King Nebuchadnezzar prepares for battle against the kingdom of Media despite an arranged marriage treaty signed by his late father. But Princess Amytis of Media is determined to do anything to keep the beastly king from bringing war to her home. Will she succeed, and will Nebuchadnezzar survive the crossfire between gods, spirits, and angels? @HistoricalFiction Top 3 Reads (The Historical Awards 2022)Zakończone
