Sam was gone, for good, Mumbo had killed him and he hadn't respawned. He was dead. Grian trusted in the kindness of the world and he opened up, but that was his biggest mistake. Because what if Sam wasn't dead? What if they had been tricked by a simple hack? What if Scar and Mumbo went missing? What if they were taken? Grian would have to find out the consequences of those 'what if's the hard way. A sequel to "Sam's Back", I suggest reading that first if you haven't already since otherwise this won't make sense. A YHS/Hermitcraft fanfic. Angsty. There's some mild Grumbo shipping but it could just be seen as platonic. Also Scar/Cub shipping, but only really at the very end and you can ignore it if you want. Trigger warnings: death loops, permadeath, Sam being Sam, manipulation, self hatred, torture, general angsty stuff. There's a happy ending though! Also, this is a continuation of my imaginative book covers and chapter titles! Word count: approx 14,700 words

This story will include - Shipping - swearing - an AU - some angst - violence - blood Note : I don't ship the hermits irl. Just the minecraft personas they present on screen. If they don't like being shipped, then I will remove the story (tbh I'll just remove the shippy parts.) This is my first story so please provide some constructive criticism. Hey so here's an idea I had in mind. This story takes place on the Hermitcraft season 7 server and all the hermits are thrown into a war after gaining special abilities. But not is all that it seems. Maybe it's something much more... I guess some things are out of your control. This is my first story so definitely gonna be cringe and some shipping... sorry not sorry... Art is not mine.
