The kingdom of Varkyr has been taken and the royal family has been killed, and now Princess Skye Sideris is running away from her home, her family, everything she knows. But when Cillian realizes he's not the only one after James, he also discovers a new, much more dangerous enemy: magic.
And now, Cillian is convinced the High King is not sick, he has been cursed. So now James and Cillian will travel together in a temporary truce through the five kingdoms in the hopes of finding the source of this dark magic and defeating it, Myrine will get her kingdom back and Darcy, her new demon, will experience life as a mortal human for the first time.
