Remember me?

I stare up at that all too familiar ceiling, there are 5,763 squares on that ceiling I know because I count them every day. I lie there in my blue hospital gown with my head propped up on a pillow. I turn to look over at the side of my bed and he's sitting there as usual, like he has done every day for the past 3 months. His blonde hair fluffed up and his blue eyes staring back at me. He smiles when he notices I've woken up. He takes my hand in his and just sits there.........But why? who is he? and why do I feel this strong connection towards him?
