Ignoring her mother's words, she asks for help and guidance, and turns to Alessia Larkspur, an 18 year old boss of The Morbid, a dark shadow of a building. After realizing the true enemies in the situation, Callen and Alessia team up and pursue the notorious Byrnes, who murdered Lilan, Callen's 12 year old sister. Alessia has to come to terms with her dark past, and Callen is the one to help her there. Without knowing it, the two become closer than ever, bonding over death, blood and the corrupted Centre. The Centre is the continent of Asdenia's government, run by an unknown being. In the midst of all the despair in Asdenia, Callen and Alessia find the answer, and most importantly, each other.
