Serafina is a child who is dead and is living in the afterlife in a place called Ani Creek where children go to experience a life of their own since they never had a chance to live and grow up in the big world.
 Every child have knowledge of how they died and what their purpose is when they reach the afterlife...every child except Serafina. She doesn't know how she died and doesn't know what her destiny is in the afterlife. She starts to think she wasn't meant to die yet and should be given a second chance of living in the big world. 

But what happens when she accidentally discovers something about her past that changes her mindset and brings new questions to keep in mind.
